Kindergarten students were the excited recipients of a very large delivery from the National Art Gallery. Inside the very large box were two floor puzzles and some beautiful Australian books.
The floor puzzles feature works of art from the Capital and Country, The Federation Years 1900-1914, exhibition.
One of the puzzles features the art work ‘The Saplings’ by German artist Hans Heysen. (Germany 1877 – Mt Barker 1968, Australia from 1884; Europe, England 1899-1903)
The second puzzle is by Richard Hayley- Lever,( Australia 1876 – Mount Vernon 1958,England and France 1893, United States of America from 1911)
A haven beneath the hill, St Ives c. 1908
Kindergarten students demonstrated amazing teamwork to construct the two puzzles and now have the pleasure of these beautiful artworks in their classrooms. The books are on display in the Library to be enjoyed by all students at Broulee Public School.
Thank you to the National Gallery, Canberra, for their very generous donation.
