Our last day of term one was filled with excitement - with the surprise of sending Mrs Lowe up in a plane to fly over the school to see us all waving at her - it was a wonderful success!! We also had a nice play in the playground at Captain Oldrey Park to finish off a great term. This week, we reflected on the school fete and the wonderful activities that were there. We then had a think about what we could add to the fete next time - something new and different... Our criteria was that the activity had to be inclusive (anyone could do it) and that it had to be able to be done over and over again. The children came up with some amazing games and activities - far beyond our imagination, and their engineering skills in creating their models were excellent! KW were fortunate to walk over to Banksia Village to visit the residents on Tuesday afternoon. They took their carefully chosen library books with them and talked about them with the residents. The children were very well mannered and did so well walking into a new environment, into a large group of unfamiliar faces and striking up conversation. I was very proud of them for this :o) The residents were sooooo happy, and very appreciative of the visit. KW will go back again next Tuesday, then the other Kindergarten classes will go next term. Take a look at our visit in the slide show below. |
