As part of our celebrations of 'Fruit and Vegtember' Kindergarten students visited Woolworths' Supermarket in Moruya for a 'Fresh Food' tour.
We toured the store and found out how they divide food into categories to make shopping easier for their customers. We checked out the different temperatures in the storage rooms. Some were 6 degrees and others were minus 26 degrees!
We played games finding foods that grow above ground, under ground, on trees, on bushes and on vines. We were really good at this game because we have been learning about this in Science. We also made a food rainbow using different fruit and vegetables.
We had a good look at the scales they use for weighing fruit and vegetables and the digital scales they use in the 'Deli' because we have been investigating mass during our measurement lessons.
Have a look at the slide show below to see all the fun we had. Thanks Woolies! Miss Gill

After our visit to Woolworths we walked to Riverside Park in Moruya for our lunch and a play on the play equipment. While we were eating our lunch we looked at all the living things that are growing and living along the banks of the river.
