"If you go down in the woods today you're in for a big surprise..." We weren't in the woods, but we had a wonderful time at our Teddy Bears Picnic at the beginning of the term. Our Year Six buddies used their creative and engineering skills to work to create some wonderful stations for the teddies. There was an icecream shop, a hotel, a puppet show, a zoo, a disco, an army bunker and a cafe. The Preschool children from BELC and HOPE joined us for a wonderful afternoon of fun, dancing and delicious teddy food. A big thank you to Year Six and the Year Six teachers for helping to make this happen.
Leading up to the picnic, we did Teddy Bear maths - measuring, weighing and counting our bears; did observational drawings and paintings of our teddies; teddy descriptions; made teddy biscuits; used our teddies for movement and maths and had a whole lot of teddy fun!
